BEFORE YOU LOCK IN THE SOLUTION

Choose One Challenge. Test What It Assumes.

TransInnovate – Workshop with TAH Centre

Join TAH Centre for a hands-on workshop exploring how an emerging project or idea can change when examined from different perspectives before its direction becomes fixed.

Working in small groups, participants choose one of several challenges, uncover assumptions and blind spots, test the framing with the AI-supported TAH Prism and identify one responsible next step.

Program Overview

Each group works with one challenge from the workshop set. Participants clarify what is being proposed, who may be affected and which assumption or decision deserves closer examination.

Groups use Technology, Arts and Humanities/Social Sciences cards to open different lines of inquiry around the same challenge.

The perspectives are not treated as fixed professional roles or as separate territories. They offer distinct but overlapping starting points from which participants can investigate possibilities and limitations, experiences and interpretations, values and interests, alternative directions and potential consequences.

Each group enters a short description of its challenge into the AI-supported application and chooses one generated question to explore.

Participants decide what the response makes visible, what they find useful, what they question or reject, what requires verification and whose knowledge or experience may still be missing. The application supports the discussion, but the group remains responsible for interpretation and judgement.

A final tension card helps each group reconsider its original framing. Participants identify one condition that should be protected and one practical next step, test or conversation that should happen before the solution becomes fixed.

What You’ll Gain

A Better-Framed Challenge

See how the original challenge changes when different assumptions and forms of knowledge are brought into the discussion.

An Uncovered Blind Spot

Identify a need, consequence, perspective or stakeholder that may currently remain outside the frame.

A Condition to Protect

Name something that should not be lost as the project moves towards implementation.

A Responsible Next Move

Leave with one concrete action, test or conversation that was not visible at the beginning.

Why This Matters

Every course, technology, startup or creative project carries assumptions about what matters, what is possible, whose knowledge counts and who may experience the consequences.

TAH brings technology, arts and humanities/social sciences into conversation with professional, practical and lived knowledge. These are not fixed ways of thinking and none of them owns a particular type of question. Their value lies in how they challenge and reshape one another – and how they can change the framing, the criteria for success or the decisions that follow.

The workshop does not promise a finished solution. It offers a reusable way to pause, widen the frame and decide what should be examined before moving forward.
