Personal Data Processing Principles

This document contains information about the protection of your privacy and security when collaborating with TAH – Centre for Innovations in Technology, Art, and Humanities (TAH Centre), whether you are participating in our educational programs, engaging in projects, or becoming a member of the association. The document explains how we process your personal data and what rights you have in this context.

Information about TAH Centre activities

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will inform you about our activities, educational programs, projects, and opportunities for collaboration. We send you this information to allow you to follow developments at TAH Centre and to offer you the opportunity to engage in activities that might interest you. Our goal is to build and maintain an active community of people interested in connecting technology, art, and humanities. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in each email.

Implementation of educational programs

As part of our educational activities, we process your data for:

  • Administration and organization of programs, to ensure the smooth running of all educational activities
  • Maintaining records of participants, which allows us to communicate effectively and personalize educational content
  • Issuing certificates that document your successful completion of programs
  • Evaluation and quality improvement, which allows us to continuously enhance the level of our services
  • Communication with participants and community management, which supports the sharing of experiences and the creation of a network of professionals

The processing of this data is necessary for providing our educational services and developing knowledge and skills in the areas we focus on.

Development of transdisciplinary collaboration

As a center connecting technology, art, and humanities, we process data for:

  • Matchmaking between community members, which enables connecting experts from different fields and the emergence of innovative projects
  • Facilitating project partnerships, through which creative solutions to complex problems can emerge
  • Mapping expertise and projects in the TAH network and creating databases, which contributes to the effective utilization of our community’s potential
  • Supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, which is key to innovation at the intersection of various disciplines

The aim of this processing is to create an environment where experts from different fields can connect and work together on projects with a positive social impact.

Selection procedures for positions at TAH Centre

During selection procedures, we process your data for:

  • Administration and organization of the selection process, which allows us to effectively select the most suitable candidates
  • Assessment of qualifications and suitability of candidates, to ensure alignment between position requirements and applicant capabilities
  • Contacting applicants regarding the progress of the selection process, which ensures transparency of the entire process
  • Record-keeping of applicants for potential future opportunities (with your consent), which allows us to offer you future opportunities at TAH Centre matching your profile
  • Concluding employment relationships with selected candidates, which is the final step in the process of filling a position

The processing of this data is necessary for finding the most suitable collaborators who will share our values and contribute to fulfilling the mission of TAH Centre.

Management of association membership

For association members, we process data for the purpose of:

  • Maintaining membership records as required by law, which is our legal obligation as an association
  • Enabling participation in association activities including invitations to events, which allows you to fully utilize the benefits of membership
  • Providing information about the association’s activities, to ensure transparency in our operations
  • Involvement in association decision-making, which is important for democratic functioning and development of our organization
  • Management of membership fees, which is necessary for the financial stability of the association

The goal is to create an active membership base that participates in the direction and activities of the organization and can take advantage of all the benefits arising from membership.

Research and artistic activities

As part of our projects, we process personal data for:

  • Documentation of research activities including project applications, which is necessary for the implementation and continuity of our research endeavors
  • Reporting to funding providers, which is key to the transparent use of acquired resources
  • Presentation of results, through which we can share our findings with both professional and general audiences

These processes are essential for the implementation of quality research and artistic projects that bring new insights and innovative approaches at the intersection of technology, art, and humanities.

On what legal basis do we process your personal data?

Consent

Based on your consent, we process:

  • Email address for sending newsletters
  • Cookies for analytical and marketing purposes
  • Photographs and recordings from events
  • Profiles for matchmaking purposes

You can withdraw your consent at any time and we will terminate the respective processing.

Performance of a contract

For the implementation of educational programs, projects, and association membership, we process data necessary for:

  • Concluding and performing study contracts
  • Implementation of project cooperation
  • Management of association membership

Compliance with legal obligations

We must process certain data because it is required by law:

  • Maintaining a list of association members
  • Accounting and tax records
  • Document archiving

Legitimate interest

For the development of our activities, we process data based on legitimate interest for:

  • Improving our services
  • Protecting our rights
  • Ensuring security
  • Conducting statistics

You can object to processing based on legitimate interest.

Recipients of data

TAH does not provide data to third parties; however, in some cases, it may be necessary to make data available to the following categories of recipients:

  • Members of association bodies to the extent necessary for the performance of their functions
  • Processors providing IT systems, accounting, and website administration
  • Public authorities in cases stipulated by law
  • Organizations collaborating on services, projects, or events as part of registrations

Retention period

We retain personal data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose of its processing and in accordance with relevant legal regulations:

  • Data for membership records: 2 years after termination of membership
  • Accounting data: 10 years (according to law)
  • Data for newsletter: until consent is withdrawn

What rights do you have regarding your personal data?

In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have a number of rights. We would like to explain what these individual rights mean and how you can exercise them.

Right of access

You have the right to know what data we process about you, why, and how we handle it. You can ask us for a list of all personal data we maintain about you. For example, you can ask what data we collected about you when registering for TAH Impact Academy or what information we maintain about you as part of our membership records.

Right to rectification

If you find that the data we have about you is not accurate or is incomplete, you have the right to request its correction or completion. For example, when you change your email address or move, you just need to let us know and we will update the data.

Right to erasure

You can ask us to delete your personal data. You can exercise this right, for example, when:

  • We no longer need your data for the purposes for which we collected it
  • You withdraw your consent to processing
  • You object to processing
  • We process your data unlawfully

Right to restriction of processing

You can ask us to temporarily restrict the work with your data. This right is useful, for example, in a situation where:

  • You think that we maintain inaccurate data about you
  • Our processing is unlawful, but you do not want to delete the data right away
  • You need the data for the determination, exercise or defense of legal claims

Right to data portability

The data you have provided to us and which we process automatically based on your consent or for the performance of a contract will be provided to you upon request in a machine-readable format. This allows you to easily transfer your data to another controller or we can transfer it upon your request.

Right to object

If we process your data based on our legitimate interest, you have the right to object to such processing. For example, you can object to data processing for statistical purposes or against sending information about our activities.

Right to withdraw consent

If we process your data based on consent (for example, for sending newsletters or using cookies), you can withdraw this consent at any time. After withdrawing consent, we will stop processing your data for that purpose.

You can exercise your rights in several ways:

Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that we are not processing your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection:
